Plot Details

Albert Nobbs (Close) struggles to survive in late 19th century Ireland, where women aren’t encouraged to be independent. Posing as a man so she can work as a butler in Dublin’s most posh hotel, a new love threatens to destroy everything she’s worked so hard to build. ALBERT NOBBS is based on the 1927 short story ‘The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs’ by George Moore.
