Arrow's Stephen Amell is Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

'Arrow' star Stephen Amell has joined the cast of Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 as fan favorite Casey Jones, reports Variety.

Amell will star opposite Megan Fox, who is reprising her role as April O'Neil, Will Arnett returning as Vernon Fenwick, Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio as Vernon's love interest and Alan Ritchson back as Raphael.

Casey Jones is a masked vigilante who becomes an ally of the turtles and a love interest for April O'Neil.

Paramount Pictures and Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes have already begun filming the sequel to 2014's franchise reboot.

Dave Green (Earth To Echo) is taking over directing duties. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are back to write the screenplay.

In 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2', the "heroes in a half shell" must stand against Shredder and his mutant warthog and rhinoceros: Bebop and Rocksteady.
