Tim Miller to Direct Deadpool. The X-Men VFX artist will make his feature directing debut on the spin-off. 20th Century Fox has hired ‘X-Men’ and ‘X2: X-Men United’ visual effects artist Tim Miller to direct ‘X-Men Origins: Deadpool’. Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the wise-cracking mercenary Deadpool aka Wade Wilson that made his first appearance in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’.

Plot DetailsIn “X-Men Origins: Deadpool,” Deadpool aka Wade Wilson is a smart-mouthed mercenary with terminal cancer who undergoes military experiments in an attempt to replicate Wolverine’s mutant healing factor. He comes away with the ability to heal quickly, but for the price of being indestructible he is rendered severely scarred. Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the Marvel Comics’ anti-hero that made his first film appearance in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” |
