Ghostbusters Reboot Cast Revealed!

Who you gonna call to star in Sony Picture’s Ghostbusters reboot?

Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig (The Skeleton Twins), her Bridesmaids co-star Melissa McCarthy (Spy), current SNL featured players Kate McKinnon (Life Partners) and Leslie Jones (Top Five) will star in director Paul Feig’s upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.

Feig revealed his casting choices via his official Twitter account on Tuesday. The four are reportedly in early negotiations with Sony. The latest script introduces a new generation of female Ghostbusters with cameos from the original stars.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and the late Harold Ramis starred in the original ‘Ghostbusters’ (1984) as slightly offbeat university parapsychologists who lose their research grant and are forced to start their own business investigating paranormal occurrences in New York City.

The supernatural comedy, followed by the sequel Ghostbusters II (1989), captured the imagination of audiences around the world and redefined the action-comedy genre in the process.

The ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot will be hitting theaters July 22, 2016.
