The Karate Kid (2010) Official Site Launched

Sony Pictures has launched an official splash page for 'The Karate Kid' remake starring Will Smith's son Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan and Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). The site has a movie countdown and allows visitors to register for updates.

In the film, a young boy is mentored by a martial arts master to become an expert in the art of karate. By the look of the silhouette on the website, young Jaden will be sporting braids in the movie. You can see the image below.

Columbia Pictures has set a June 11, 2010 release date for the Harald Zwart-directed film. You can visit the official website here.
