Superman and Zod on the 'Man of Steel' Set

Michael Shannon has shown up on the set of Man of Steel in Plano, Illinois. Shannon is seen wearing a motion-capture suit to portray his character General Zod. The tight fitting garment is similar to the suit worn by Ryan Reynolds to create the all-CGI costume for 'Green Lantern'.

In addition to the series of pictures, Henry Cavill was briefly spotted on the set wearing his Superman costume minus the "S" shield on the back of the cape. Henry Cavill takes the titular role in the Zack Snyder-directed superhero adventure which is set to arrive in theaters on June 14, 2013. You can see the images in the photo gallery.
