Lana Lang Confirmed for Man of Steel. Jadin Gould has been cast as a young Lana Lang in Warner Bros. upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel. Gould (Battle Los Angeles) will play the character as a 13-year-old teenager in Smallville. Also in Superman news, a new photo has surfaced online of actor Henry Cavill in his Superman costume. Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon and Laurence Fishburne star in the superhero action-adventure directed by Zack Snyder. Born on the doomed planet Krypton, but raised on Earth, mild-mannered newspaper reporter Clark Kent (Cavill) must become the superhero known as “Superman” to defend the world against two other surviving Kryptonians, the tyrannical General Zod (Shannon) and his evil partner Faora (Antje Traue).

Plot DetailsThe Superman franchise is resurrected in Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures “Man of Steel” from director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight). The film stars Henry Cavill, who plays the new Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod’s evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman’s native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman’s father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy. “Man of Steel” is being produced by Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder. |

News1/24/12 – Lana Lang Confirmed for ‘Man of Steel’, New Superman Photo 12/22/11 – Man of Steel Movie Trailer to Debut in Six Months. Warner Bros. will reveal the first trailer and new images this June to prepare for Superman’s highly anticipated return to the big-screen. Warner Bros. will begin promoting its Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot ‘Man of Steel’ a whole year before it’s 2013 release date. The studio had a similar strategy for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The teaser trailer for that film debuted July 18, 2011, almost a year to the day of its July 20, 2012 scheduled release date.
