Jane Levy to Star in Evil Dead Remake. Suburgatory star Jane Levy is in talks to play the female lead in the upcoming Evil Dead reboot. Shiloh Fernandez (Red Riding Hood) has been cast as the male lead. The horror update is being produced by Sam Raimi, writer and director of the original The Evil Dead movies. Raimi and original producing partners Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell are passing the reins over to director Fede Alvarez. Diablo Cody is currently doing revisions on the latest draft written by Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues. In this retelling, five friends are holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. A demonic force is unleashed possessing each until only one is left to fight for survival.
