Watchmen Merchandise Out of Retirement

Back in 2001 DC Direct planned to release Watchmen action figures to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the acclaimed graphic novel. Unfortunately those figures were never released due to conflicts with ’Watchmen’ creator Alan Moore. It’s unfortunate because the movie tie-in merchandise is selling like gangbusters.
Say what you will about the Zack Snyder directed movie (l loved it) but ‘Watchmen’ merchandise is a huge hit with moviegoers and fans of the graphic novel alike.
Everything ‘Watchmen’ is flying off the shelves and the inkblot masked vigilante Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) is without a doubt the most beloved character in the film. Everyone wants to own his mask, grappling gun and fedora. See More

When ‘Watchmen’ director Zack Snyder wanted to find the perfect fedora for the masked vigilante Rorschach he didn’t pluck a hat from Warner Bros. vast costume department, it was made-to-order. ‘Morning Express with Robin Meade’ featured a story this morning in the “Small Business Success” segment about the company Texas Hatters, a custom-made hat shop that crafted several fedoras for actor Jackie Earle Haley’s character. In the exclusive video, the hat maker talks about how he fashioned the fedora using a bust of the actor to get the perfect fit. See More

Warners, Fox ‘Watchmen’ lawsuit settled

“Watchmen” fans will be watching one of the most anticipated movies of ’09 on March 6th as scheduled.
Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox have resolved their drawn-out disputed over the “Watchmen” film adaptation. The studios will present the settlement to the court today. Details of the agreement have not been disclosed, but the deal is said to include a payout to Fox and a percentage of the film’s boxoffice gross. See More
