Samantha Barks Joins Les Misérables Movie. British stage actress Samantha Barks has been chosen as Eponine in Universal’s film adaptation of the stage musical Les Misérables. Barks previously played the role in the 2010 London stage production and 25th anniversary concert. Barks joins a star-studded cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried. Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel about Jean Valjean (Jackman), an ex-convict trying to build a new life of nobility and compassion, pursued by the callous Inspector Javert (Crowe), who doesn’t intend to let Valjean escape his past. Lana Lang Confirmed for Man of Steel. Jadin Gould has been cast as a young Lana Lang in Warner Bros. upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel. Gould (Battle Los Angeles) will play the character as a 13-year-old teenager in Smallville. Also in Superman news, a new photo has surfaced online of actor Henry Cavill in his Superman costume. Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon and Laurence Fishburne star in the superhero action-adventure directed by Zack Snyder. Julian Richings Joins ‘Man of Steel’

British actor Julian Richings, best known for recurring character roles in ‘Supernatural’ and the short-lived Stephen King TV series ‘Kingdom Hospital’, has joined the cast of director Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill (Immortals) and Amy Adams.
In a recent TV interview on Space TV’s InnerSPACE, Richings revealed that he shot a couple of scenes in Vancouver that will take place on Krypton with Russell Crowe, who plays Superman’s father Jor-El, and Michael Shannon, as General Zod, in front of a large green screen, in a place the size of a hockey arena. Ayelet Zurer Joins Man of Steel

Superman is getting a new mom. Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer, best known for starring alongside Tom Hanks in Angels & Demons, is set to replace actress Julia Ormond in Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Man of Steel directed by Zack Snyder. Ormond exited the production for known reasons.
Zurer will play Superman’s biological Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van, and wife of Jor-El, played by Russell Crowe. Currently in production, ‘Man of Steel’ is filming in Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. See More
