Fox Sets Release Date for Wolverine 2. Hugh Jackman returns in the sequel to the X-Men spin-off. 20th Century Fox has set The Wolverine, the sequel to 2009′s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, for a July 26, 2013 release. In the sequel to the spin-off, Wolverine (Jackman) falls in love with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is promised to another man. The forbidden romance puts Wolverine at war with her father and the dangerous Silver Samurai, a mutant skilled in the art of sword fighting and able to cut through anything. See More

DC Announces ‘Watchmen’ Prequel Comics

This summer, DC Entertainment will publish all-new stories expanding on the acclaimed Watchmen universe. The seven inter-connected prequel mini-series will build on the foundation of the original Watchmen, the bestselling graphic novel of all time. Before Watchmen will be the collective banner for all seven titles, from DC Comics.
Each week, a new issue will be released, and will feature a two-page back-up story called Curse Of The Crimson Corsair, written by original series editor Len Wein and with art by original series colorist John Higgins. There will also be a single issue, Before Watchmen: Epilogue, featuring the work of various writers and artists, and a Crimson Corsair story by Wein and Higgins. See More

The Crow Reboot Gets a Writer and Director. Relativity and The Weinstein Company’s Dimension Films have signed F. Javier Gutiérrez (Before The Fall) to direct a reinvention of The Crow, the 1994 smash hit film based on the comic book series and comic strip by James O’Barr. Writer Jesse Wigutow has signed on to pen the script. The Crow adaptation will be a gritty reboot of the iconic character Eric Draven, who returns from the grave as The Crow on a mission to avenge his wife’s murder, so that his soul can finally rest. NBC will finally make good use of its revamped costume from writer David E. Kelley’s unaired Wonder Woman television pilot. Erica Durance, best known for playing Lois Lane in the CW’s Smallville, will debut the outfit on what is sure to be a fanboy favorite episode of Kelley’s Harry’s Law.
In the Wednesday, January 11 episode of the NBC show, Erica Durance will appear as Annie Billson, a psychologically disturbed woman who believes that she is actually the famed superheroine Wonder Woman.
