They’re not necessarily the ones those snotty film critics thought were best, but a mixed bag of genres that I enjoyed the most for excellence in writing, acting, creativity and direction. Dark Knight Rises Director and WB Release Statements Following Shooting

Christopher Nolan, the director of The Dark Knight Rises, has released a statement about the movie theater shooting at a midnight screening of his film in Aurora, Colorado, calling the massacre an “appalling crime” and saying that his thoughts are with the victims and their families.

“Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community,” Nolan said in a statement. “I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. The six-minute opening sequence of The Dark Knight Rises will arrive just in time for the holidays. Moviegoers won’t have to wait until next year to see the six-minute opening sequence of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
