Warner Home Video has announced the release of the animated pirate thriller ‘Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter’ which includes the live-action/CGI pseudo-documentary ‘Under the Hood’ on DVD and Blu-ray available March 24, 2009. ‘Tales of the Black Freighter’ is excuctive produced by Zack Snyder and voiced by Gerard Butler (300).

Watchmen – Making Rorschach’s Fedora

When ‘Watchmen’ director Zack Snyder wanted to find the perfect fedora for the masked vigilante Rorschach he didn’t pluck a hat from Warner Bros. vast costume department, it was made-to-order. ‘Morning Express with Robin Meade’ featured a story this morning in the “Small Business Success” segment about the company Texas Hatters,  a custom-made hat shop that crafted several fedoras for actor Jackie Earle Haley’s character. In the exclusive video, the hat maker talks about how he fashioned the fedora using a bust of the actor to get the perfect fit. See More

Watchmen – Music From The Motion Picture

Warner Sunset / Reprise Records will release both the soundtrack and original score to the feature film Watchmen on March 3rd — three days before the March 6th release of the highly anticipated feature film.

Music From The Motion Picture Watchmen, the film’s official soundtrack, includes My Chemical Romance’s powerful reinterpretation of Bob Dylan’s “Desolation Row,” recorded exclusively for the film. The soundtrack also features a collection of classic songs by such artists as Nat King Cole, Simon & Garfunkel, and Janis Joplin, which, once heard in the context of the film, will never be thought of the same way again. Warner Home Video has announced the release of the superhero mystery adventure ‘Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic’ on 2-Disc DVD and Blu-ray available March 3, 2009.

Warners, Fox ‘Watchmen’ lawsuit settled

“Watchmen” fans will be watching one of the most anticipated movies of ’09 on March 6th as scheduled.

Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox have resolved their drawn-out disputed over the “Watchmen” film adaptation. The studios will present the settlement to the court today.  Details of the agreement have not been disclosed, but the deal is said to include a payout to Fox and a percentage of the film’s boxoffice gross.
