Lana Lang Confirmed for Man of Steel. Jadin Gould has been cast as a young Lana Lang in Warner Bros. upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel. Gould (Battle Los Angeles) will play the character as a 13-year-old teenager in Smallville. Also in Superman news, a new photo has surfaced online of actor Henry Cavill in his Superman costume. Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon and Laurence Fishburne star in the superhero action-adventure directed by Zack Snyder. The busy character actor talks about his first superhero movie role, the top-secret script and working with Amy Adams (again) in the upcoming Superman reboot.
This week it was announced that former West Wing star Richard Schiff has been cast as “Dr. Hamilton” in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel. In an interview with i am Rogue Schiff says that he was actually cast in the film over the summer but wasn’t allowed to tell anyone until now. His role wasn’t scheduled to shoot until the last six weeks of production. See More

Eva Green in Talks to Star in 300 Prequel. Eva Green is in negotiations to play the female lead in Warner Bros. 300 prequel 300: Battle of Artemisia, based on Frank Miller’s upcoming graphic novel Xerxes. Green (Casino Royale) would play Artemisia, a ruthless goddess who counsels the Persian king Xerxes and helps lead his army into battle. The studio hasn’t found its male lead yet. The prequel sees the Persian king-turned-god Xerxes lead an army against Greek forces, who have little training but are under the guidance of a general named Themistokles. See More

It’s A Bird… It’s A Plane… No it’s the hair growing on Zack Snyder’s upper lip. Director Zack Snyder took a break from filming Man of Steel to show off his mustache and rip open his shirt like Clark Kent in support of The Movember Foundation. The “Mo-growing efforts” help raise awareness of prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. The filmmaker tweeted Tuesday, “Happy to support the cause, but was even happier to shave.” You can see the photo from the campaign below. See More

New photos of Henry Cavill filming Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot Man of Steel have surfaced online. In the photos, a shirtless and bearded Clark Kent (Cavill) helps a medevac team in a rescue on top of a helicopter landing pad. The scene was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada against a giant green screen which will be replaced in post-production. Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Man of Steel’ is slated for release on June 14, 2013. See More
Ayelet Zurer Joins Man of Steel

Superman is getting a new mom. Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer, best known for starring alongside Tom Hanks in Angels & Demons, is set to replace actress Julia Ormond in Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Man of Steel directed by Zack Snyder. Ormond exited the production for known reasons.
Zurer will play Superman’s biological Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van, and wife of Jor-El, played by Russell Crowe. Currently in production, ‘Man of Steel’ is filming in Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. See More
Michael Cerveris Up For Superman’s Lex Luthor

Exclusive: Character actor Michael Cerveris, best known for playing The Observer on the FOX television show ‘Fringe’, can be added to the list of names being considered for the role of Superman’s arch-nemeses Lex Luthor, however, the self-proclaimed “Greatest criminal mind of our time” wont likely appear until the Man of Steel follow-up.
Director Zack Snyder is obviously a big fan of J.J. Abrams sci-fi series, Snyder used ‘Fringe’s Casting Director Michelle Allen to cast Man of Steel and Sucker Punch in Vancouver, Canada. Currently in production under the title “Autumn Frost,” ‘Man of Steel’ will film in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island from late September through to the end of January 2012. See More

Man of Steel Production takes over the Chicago Loop. Filming of the new Superman reboot, Man of Steel, resumes in the City of Chicago on Wednesday through September 17. The Chicago Board of Trade Building has reportedly been selected as the exterior of Metropolis newspaper The Daily Planet. Interior shots will take place inside The Willis Tower, formerly the Sears Tower.
‘Man of Steel’ stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon and is directed by Zack Snyder. Superman and Zod on the ‘Man of Steel’ Set

Michael Shannon has shown up on the set of Man of Steel in Plano, Illinois. Shannon is seen wearing a motion-capture suit to portray his character General Zod. The tight fitting garment is similar to the suit worn by Ryan Reynolds to create the all-CGI costume for ‘Green Lantern’.
In addition to the series of pictures, Henry Cavill was briefly spotted on the set wearing his Superman costume minus the “S” shield on the back of the cape. Henry Cavill takes the titular role in the Zack Snyder-directed superhero adventure which is set to arrive in theaters on June 14, 2013. You can see the images in the photo gallery.
