Marton Csokas Lands Villain Role in The Equalizer. Marton Csokas will square off against Denzel Washington in The Equalizer. Antoine Fuqua (Olympus Has Fallen, Training Day) is directing the big-screen adaptation of the 80s TV series. Csokas (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, The Debt) will play a Russian mafia hitman, Washington is playing Robert McCall, a retired intelligence officer and Chloe Grace Moretz is playing Teri, a teenage street walker. The original series starred British actor Edward Woodward as McCall, a former covert operations officer with a mysterious past, who tries to atone for past sins by righting the wrongs of a flawed legal system.

The original series, which ran between 1985 and 1989, starred British actor Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a former covert operations officer with a mysterious past, who tries to atone for past sins by offering free services as a protector, and an investigator.
