Spider-Man Spinoff Sinister Six Gets 2016 Release Date

Sony Pictures is assembling its own comic book-based team-up movie. The studio has set a November 11, 2016 release date for its upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man franchise spinoff The Sinister Six. Director Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) will write and direct the action adventure. The film will feature an all-star lineup of Spider-Man villains. The Sinister Six has had several permutations in the comics but originally featured Doctor Octopus, Electro, Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture and Kraven the Hunter.
