Warner Bros. Rebooting Scooby-Doo?

Zoinks! Warner Bros. has tapped screenwriter Randall Green to draft a new live-action Scooby-Doo movie, according to Deadline.

The news comes just days after the death of legendary radio host and voice actor Casey Kasem, who voiced the character Shaggy in the long-running cartoon.

Warner Bros. Pictures released two live-action adaptations directed by Raja Gosnell: Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Linda Cardellini and Matthew Lillard.

Most recently, Warner Home Video released the live-action direct-to-video titles: Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (2009) and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster (2011) with different actors in the starring roles.
