X-Men: First Class Blu-ray and DVD Detailed. Fox Home Entertainment has revealed details and cover artwork for the release of the ‘X-Men’ prequel ‘X-Men: First Class’, starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Kevin Bacon. ‘X-Men: First Class’ will be available to own on Blu-ray and DVD September 9th. Blu-ray special features include 10 Marvel “X-Men” Digital Comics with exclusive “X-Men: First Class” Backstory Comic, and Cerebro Mutant Tracker, an interactive video database giving fans the ability to learn about their favorite mutants in the X-Men film franchise. In the film, before Charles Xavier (McAvoy) and Erik Lensherr (Fassbender) were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants, to prevent nuclear Armageddon.

Plot Details

“X-Men: First Class” charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
