Y: The Last Man Movie Gets New Writers. Writing duo Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia (CBS’ Jericho) are in final negotiations to draft the big-screen adaptation of the Vertigo comic book series Y: The Last Man. The story centers on Yorick Brown, the last survivor of a mysterious plague that has killed every male mammal in the world. Heading out with his pet Capuchin monkey Ampersand to find his fiancĂ© Beth, Yorick finds himself on the adventure of a lifetime.

He encounters a government run solely by women, biker chicks, pirates, astronauts, amazons, convicts, scientists, a special agent assigned to protect him and oh yeah, a ton of women who want to sleep with him.
