Avatar Blu-ray 3D Set for October. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang star in the 3D live-action/animated sci-fi adventure. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that James Cameron's Avatar will finally arrive on Blu-ray 3D as a two-disc "Collector's Edition" on October 16, with the global debut slated for October 15. The Blu-ray 3D was previously only available through an exclusive Panasonic promotion.
