Johnny Depp is in talks to return as Captain Jack Sparrow for the another swashbuckling fantasy adventure in Pirates of the Caribbean 6. Writers Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio, and Jeff Nathanson (Dead Men Tell No Tales) are reportedly working on the script for a sixth installment of the Disney franchise. Joachim Rønning is attached to return as director.

Depp has starred in all five movies in the "Pirates" franchise as Captain Jack Sparrow beginning with 'The Curse of the Black Pearl' (2003), 'Dead Man's Chest' (2006), 'At World's End' (2007), 'On Stranger Tides' (2011) and 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' (2017)

Writers Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio, and Jeff Nathanson (Dead Men Tell No Tales) are reportedly working on the script for a sixth installment of the Disney franchise. Joachim Rønning is attached to return as director with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.
