Byung-hun Lee Joins Terminator: Genesis
Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis and Sandrine Holt have joined the cast of Paramount’s Terminator: Genesis. Lee (‘G.I. Joe’ films), Gladis (Mad Men) and Holt (House of Cards) join Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming reboot of the sci-fi classic. Terminator: Genesis is the first in a new stand-alone trilogy, the rumored storyline follows an alternative timeline where a Terminator from the post-apocalyptic future is sent to kill a young John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance. Terminator: Genesis begins filming on April 21 in New Orleans.
The first in a stand-alone trilogy, TERMINATOR: GENESIS will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Launched in 1984 with star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the title character, James Cameron’s THE TERMINATOR spanned 3 subsequent films, which have earned over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
