Warner Bros. Pictures has put Spy Hunter back on active duty.
Director Ruben Fleischer (Gangster Squad, Zombieland) has signed on to direct and executive produce Spy Hunter, based on the classic 1983 Bally Midway video game.
Warner Bros. Pictures bought the title as part of its acquisition of Midway Games Inc. back in 2009 and tapped Chad St. John to write the screenplay.
Fleischer will be seeking a new scribe to write an entirely new draft.
Spy Hunter follows a highly trained spy who drives a transforming G-6155 Interceptor vehicle equipped with weapons, that include oil slicks, smoke screens, and missiles, to eliminate rogue agents when they become liabilities to their governments. Source: Vulture
