Prince: 10 Best Songs Not In His Hits Collection

Not all of Prince's best songs are included with his The Hits collection. Many great songs didn't make the cut.

This week the music world lost Prince, a musical genius and icon. Prince will not only be remembered as a Grammy and Academy Award-Winning singer-songwriter. He was one of the most unique, talented and influential artists of any generation. Leaving us the classic songs, "Purple Rain", "1999", "When Doves Cry" and "Little Red Corvette" just to name a few.

Prince's biggest hits can be found on his 1993 3-Disc CD release The Hits/The B-Sides, released separately under the titles The Hits 1 and The Hits 2, featuring 36 chart toppers and 20 B-side tracks.

That doesn't mean all of his best songs made the cut. Many fan-favorites were not included. I've put together a list of ten of the best Prince songs not on The Hits collection. Check them out below and click the link to sample the songs.
