Red Dawn Remake Set for 2012 Release. The long-delayed ‘Red Dawn’ remake will be released in theaters on November 2, 2012 by the independent studio FilmDistrict. The action-adventure stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson and Adrianne Palicki. ‘Red Dawn’ was considered unreleasable after MGM emerged from bankruptcy because it’s storyline depicts China as U.S. invaders. China has become an important market for U.S. entertainment companies. Producers have solved the problem by digitally modifying the villains from Chinese to North Korean. In the film, after foreign troops seize control of their town, a group of young Americans take refuge in the surrounding woods and launch guerilla attacks against the enemy. See More

Warners, Fox ‘Watchmen’ lawsuit settled

“Watchmen” fans will be watching one of the most anticipated movies of ’09 on March 6th as scheduled.

Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox have resolved their drawn-out disputed over the “Watchmen” film adaptation. The studios will present the settlement to the court today.  Details of the agreement have not been disclosed, but the deal is said to include a payout to Fox and a percentage of the film’s boxoffice gross.
