Universal Pictures and Focus Features have announced that former Calvin Klein model Jamie Dornan will replace Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of E L James’ bestselling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey. Last month the Pacific Rim star dropped out of the project due to his busy TV schedule on FX’s Sons of Anarchy. Dornan (Once Upon a Time) will star opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and True Blood’s Luke Grimes. Filming will begin at North Shore Studios in Vancouver on November 5. Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) is directing the romantic drama. Set in modern-day Seattle, the story follows the BDSM relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele.
The story follows the relationship between college student Anastasia Steele and young billionaire Christian Grey. When the couple embark on a passionate and daring relationship, Anastasia learns more about her own dark desires, as well as the Christian Grey hidden away from public scrutiny.
