Superman Prequel Series 'Krypton' Heading to Syfy

Following the news that a Supergirl Live-Action Series Lands at CBS, Syfy and Warner Horizon Television have teamed for Krypton, a one-hour drama about Superman's grandfather set on the fictional planet. The series is being executive produced by Batman Begins (2005) and Man of Steel (2013) screenwriter David S. Goyer.

Plot Summary

Krypton takes place years before the Superman legend we know, when the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This drama, follows the Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known. "Krypton" is based on Superman's birth planet created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
