Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary, Ghostbusters 2 Blu-ray Details
Sony has revealed the release date, cover art, and select bonus features for Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Edition and Ghostbusters II 25th Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced that Ivan Reitman's classic sci-fi comedy Ghostbusters will get a limited theatrical re-release in more than 700 movie theaters in the United States & Canada on August 29, 2014 in celebration of the film's 30th Anniversary.
In addition, Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray, as well as Ghostbusters II 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray will be available on September 16, 2014 featuring: all-new special features along with original legacy content, available as single BDs, as well as special 2-movie Digibook set and Limited collector's edition gift set with exclusive Slimer figurine also available.
Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson lead the cast as the "Ghostbusters," spirit-exterminators who fearlessly take on the other-worldly evil infiltrating Manhattan, whether it manifests itself as wicked green slime or an ancient tyrant back from the dead to take over the world. The spooktacularly successful franchise captured the imagination of audiences around the world and redefined the action-comedy genre in the process.
